Hi Lois, It certainly is nice to meet you, even if it is just on line.
Your grandfather Thomas Lee Bradmon), my father( Thomas Lee) and Dad's first
cousin, Lawrence Randolph, were
very best of friends for a long time. At Dad's funeral I sat between Tommy
(Lee Bradmon),
as we called him, and Lawrence. I remember that your grandfather said to
me,"Oh! How I had wished that I could have been the first to go." They were
really very close. I have a picture On disk that I will send you.
Now for the information. I spent my teen age years living with Ma and Pa
Lee. This is Alonzo Christopher Lee and Sara Elizabeth Randolph. I
questioned everything in those days. Pa said that he never knew his father
as he died very young. Pa never talked a lot about his grandfather, so I
have no really good information on him. There were pictures that hung in
the parlor of a married couple that they told me was my great great grand
parents. His name was Charles Edward Lee and he came over from England. I
only know that her name was Elizabeth. Pa told me that C.E. Lee was a
foundaryman and that he worked in the Snowden Foundary at Brownsville, Pa.
There is or was a small iron bridge that took the old National Road or US 40
across Redstone Creek in downtown Brownsville that was build by Snowden. It
was said that C.E. Lee had much to do with this project and that it was the
first iron bridge west of the Apallatians. I believe it is still there???
I know Francis Lee as my great uncle Frank who lived on the Lee farm near
Smock, Pa. I am not sure about his wife's name but will check with my
oldest sister. My oldest sister is Nancy Adeline and she was named for your
great great grandmother and My great grand mother. She married Roland
Herring, and I know a lot of his family. I do not know any Lois Jean, but
will call Nancy and ask her.
The connection from Adeline Noble to Plesant Lynn goes to Col. Andrew Lynn
and can be used for membership in the DAR.
Clara Lee is still living in a home near Uniontown. Nancy says that she is
not able to recognize or communicate much. She is my father's only
surviving sister.
I will get pictures ready and send you by snail mail. It takes too long on
line and some servers will not handle them at all.
I am looking forward to more communication with my fourth cousin. Is that
right.
Always my best,
Tom
